2017 repressed .... we are delighted to welcome back detroits rick wade to the landed records imprint. a guy who needs no introduction in the house and disco music scene, ricks stable career as a dj and producer has spanned more than two decades. treating the world to some of the best loved deep house and angry disco tracks, its easy to see why hes such a well loved and respected artist. the adjustment of status ep spins a terrific story of raw house music and angry disco - two sounds where rick is well and truly on top of his game.

dead fader returns with his new album *glass underworld*. dead fader is the alter ego of john cohen - former brighton resident, now based in berlin - who has worked relentlessly since 2007 to realise his vision of electronic music. his tracks are characterised by pioneering sound explorations, which on one hand oscillate between sonic extremities and on the other hand carefully craft cinemascope sound worlds. *glass underworld* became a very personal exploration for john, developing further his emotionally tinged brand of techno which he established with the previous ep sun copter. furthermore, the film interstellar visually influenced the album, mapped as an image for cohens tracks to exist in. the vinyl release is limited to 300 copies and comes with download code included.

to anyone with even a passing interest in the weirder end of good-time party-ready house music, freaks should need little introduction. luke solomon and justin harris have been keeping our preferred kind of dancefloor vibrating to the cheekiest manifestations of house music since the mid 90s, never letting up and moving in the same oscillations as the good ship circus company.

velly joonas is a mysterious singer, who once wanted to become a soul singer, but later choose folk music instead. frotee has released two recordings of cover versions from estonian radio archives, both tracks have estonian lyrics written by herself. in 1983, she recorded an incredible version of i see red. few years earlier she recorded lovely version of classic feel like makin love-. both previously unreleased, now available on 7inch single!

with a career stretching back to 1998, via releases on dance mania, juke trax, blank mind, and planet mu, everyone should know dj clent by now. crosstalk actually unleashed his first internationally distributed tracks via dj slugo’s subterranean playhouse label, and we are excited to have acquired the rights to distribute all the beatdown house releases, worldwide. dj roc aka the crack capone is another artist who’s first international releases were disseminated via our digital program, we also distributed various juke city mix cds. his break came via his album on planet mu, and has also had a recent ep via duck n’ cover. dj t-rell & c-bit are relatively unknown, internationally, but have been active on the chicago scene for at least a decade. you’ll find their tracks on local mix cds by slugo, deeon, and clent, among others.

we are so happy and proud to embark ambient noise level on the mfd ship for the 5th release! a.n.l. is a project from our dear friend daniel sanchez, who has recently been exploring new sonic territories, fetching sounds from the deepest corners of his universe. he produced a masterpiece of an ep/mini album with seven ambient, dub infused tracks, ear candy all the way. enjoy!

once again the dutchman from the north boris bunnik (who actually resides in rotterdam now, but that aside) is showcasing his magic fingers, this time on shipwrec s deep techno offshoot deep sound channel. hinterland is a topnotch ice-cold but heartwarming submarine electro/techno album with distant hints of idm, in other words the perfect soundtrack for the long midwinter nights to come.

behind is an expansive collection for hackford, who draws from experimental, process-oriented composition techniques to create sensorially engaging dance music. an ethos of presence, enrichment and dissociation pervades behind - by stripping away the constructed-ness of so much dance music, hackford allows himself to produce music that is as much a joy to create as it is to share. an ambassador of -ecstatic states- as he calls them, hackford s music suggests heightened temporal zones may be ubiquitous if you allow them to be. behind is a proposition of such ecstatic states, its music pulsing vitally at opposite ends of the bpm spectrum. distinctly unmotivated by polemic dialogues around dance music, behind seeks a more soluble musical space for unmitigated engagement. it is music inspired by transitions, no less vital before sunset as it is after the curtain call.

london based dj/producer pawsa is an artist on the rise who has already impressed with releases for lost records and green velvet s legendary cajual imprint. today he makes his mood debut with the flux ep, a trio of tracks, each underpinned by strong throbbing beats and mysterious basslines.

driven by analog machines, and with the italian artist s typically dark and gritty stamp on it, the ep is a masterclass in functional, club-focused minimalism, splatterings of acid run wild atop drum-machine rhythms and coarse, swirling pads. idga s two originals, -no pictures- and -no glitter,- land backed by a remix from lucretio of the analog cops, who twists the deep textures of -no glitter- into a slamming slab of raw analog house.

who said that there is no techno in bavaria? not only the bavarian based label itself as a kind of lighthouse for the more energetic sounds deep in the bavarian heart is a proof, also the young and crazy dirty basscore is emerging from there with his very own, unique, freaked out, crazy, uncomprimising style. compared to his outlets so far this one might not be the craziest and freaked out stuff he did, but for sure this is a massive debut and introduction of his trademark and unlimited talent here on credo. perfectly timed and playable tunes with only one goal: working on the dancefloor! and as this wouldnt be enough we even top it with an excellent repaint by another bavarian techno-stallion. klaudia gawlas, who probably doesn t need any introduction, delivered a superb interpretation of the titletrack.

schuko ep is the second release from the lyon (france) based label aiia recordings, which without surprise is still speaking about techno. the release is signed by the german duo schutzkontakt, with one member from dualit, who uses violent and reverbering kicks on konter and latenz, completed by a deep and sweet melody on frage, whether by different layers of indus samples. the most relevant feeling by listening this four-track ep is that it brings you between hard and soft moments, but still in a mighty state of mind, thanks to the intensity put by schutzkontakt in schuko ep. even if everything slacken when zyllinder comes with its more groovy and acid rhythms after the two precedent techno-indus tracks.

david meiser debuts on afu limited with -discipline for the masses-, an ep with a clear message for the upcoming generations of techno followers: take risks. innovate. get out of trends. . two stunning solid tracks composed of dirty and sharped analog sounds. meiser s breaks the trendy techno sounds to bring to the scene his own thing. the ep counts with two exceptional remixers: the horrorist and radical g, two of the artists with more character and personality in the techno scene who take the originals to their own terrain.

dinamo azari is an artist revitalized. extending into new waters, rich with promise, the montreal-born, toronto-based musician-producer behind the global phenomenon azari & iii returns with new solo album estranged, released on february 16th 2016 on the vinyl factory. the first single is victim – released november 6th - a pulsing opening shot, ripe with indignation, featuring singers fritz helder and starving yet full, who lent azari & iii their distinctive vocals.

tom middleton and mark pritchards 76:14 is one of the 90s most acclaimed electronic albums, while a cast of aliases (reload, jedi knights and more) also orbited the project. their last record came out in 1997, and although there was a live reunion in 2010, the new material we were promised is yet to emerge. pritchards nowhere to be seen on this remix of duskys skin deep (its middleton flying solo), but its still an occasion. according to dusky, we knew we wanted someone special and we knew we wanted someone who would get to the heart of the melodies and textures in the breakdown. tom has totally delivered, creating something that draws on the heritage of the ambient sound, but also feels current and modern.

the idea that france once had a genius and let him go to california where he was more welcome and appreciated than in paris is, in the digital area, a trivial issue. every single web entrepreneur heads towards the silicon valley to develop his ideas. during the 70’s, this was less ordinary. back then, it was another area, music, which witnessed the departure of a very talented guy for the united states, a country that quickly understood he was a star. marc cerrone, a trained drummer and disco phenomenon who sold more albums than many other artists put together, saw his career magnified by america but also slightly twisted by france which quickly reduced him to a style, disco music, without trying to understand who he was and how relevant his talent was. his path went through two phases, two complementary moves.

glasgow youngster steven simpson may only have just finished his a-levels, but he is the first new talent to be plucked for this london imprints homage to vintage house, acid and breakbeat. 1Ø pills mate is a home for wary stragglers in the rave. riding 303 bass-lines into the mid-afternoon and steadily sinking into a hammock in a field come the next dusk. heavy come-downs and even heavier drum-jams. this is one for the true believers, the baggy white tee crew and everyone who s ever gotten lost in a dark, sweaty basement.

more vinyl-only dopeness from colonel wrong face and the just jack crew. serving up the heat this time is berlin based producer rydim, a man who’s been stirring up dance floors and releasing records for over a decade now, both as a solo artist and also collaborating with 2 friends under a very popular, super hush-hush pseudonym (it’s a secret yeah, so we ain’t telling you nuffing!). detroit’s jared wilson brings home the bacon on remix duties, turning out a deep acid sleaze-fest for the discerning earlobe. pack your wellies cause that 303 shit is squelchy.

this record won the famous 2015 french prize grand prix charles cros. pierre arditi, famous french actor, reads * histoire d une jeunesse (story of my youth)* by elias cantti (who won nobel prize of literature), with musical background by eric slabiak.

after a short break, 200 records is back with sebastian habbens solo debut >inner city<. habben, based in cologne, is one half of the producer and dj duo raucherecke who have released three eps on our label so far. lately, sebastian has concentrated on his own label >im in love< and his solo career. quite recently he released his tracks >nebel< on chilean imprint drumma records.

with his third release of the bella avgvsta series, daniel bortz shows that augsburg offers more then its famous puppet theater. the opener don’t forget your sword provides crystal clear techno, discreetly interrupted by accented fades of an exotic theme. with rolling dub sequences, decent recurring swishes and a peacefull breaks jump in the water describes the impression to dive into the humid element. lonely soldier then provides more power again. the basic theme which is dominated by a minor tone displays an inner unrest created by the unknown that is daily lurking out there for us. the beautiful deep dub-track hide from the sun finally plays with the change of shimmering heat and chilly shadow. who does not know the feeling on a hot open-air-afternoon to take an occasional time-out from the merciless burning sun. overall this is the most personal and deeply emotional release and as we think a worthy highlight and conclusion for the bella avgvsta series.
